Very excited to be visiting Bruges next month and planning ahead.
Does anyone know of any other aires apart from the expensive Kanaaleiland one? (€25 a night a bit steep)

Nope that's the only one I think unless you go quite a long way out. It's worth paying for the location though, you're a gentle 10 minute walk through the park to town. It also has electric which is always handy.

We stayed there in February and it was pretty quiet but I can imagine that the aire will get pretty busy during the summer months.

Bruges is a lovely city, well worth spending a few days in. It's on our list to go back to soon.

Not long enough!
Worth the money as location excellent.
Pitches on left of road slightly larger.
When I went, parked non hab door side close to neighbours non hab door side just to get a bit more room in and out of the van :)

There are campsites nearby but in my opinion the Aire is great, very close to the city and the train station pretty quiet and you have electrics and water. Compared to normal charges for other Aires the cost is steeper than most in France but for the location and easy access it's good.

if that were a UK aire.. (yes we do have a few) and charging €25 there would be an unholy outcry.. "rip off Britain" " they are free in France" . etc

and yes I have used it but it wasn't that price in 2005

Do you need EHU?
How long will you stay?
I know a place in Brugge where you can park/sleep.
There is no wast dump no water.
I can check on Tuesday if it's still OK.
As I speend every Tuesday in Brugge.

Very easy access.
I will call there on Tuesday to check that it still OK to overnight.
And get the address.
Its not too far from the centre easy to walk to.
There is sometimes a Concorde Liner there so no problems with access.
I have always been surprissed there where no restrictions on parking there.

the Aire in Brugge is overpriced.
Even if it's not busy you bet the next MH to come in parks next to you no mater how much space there is

At the moment there are major roadworks in Brugge.
Its a nightmare geting anywhere.
The main road from the motorway to the inner ring at the rear of the railway station is closed till June/July

Thanks for this, I was about to book at Memling this morning and have changed my mind!

We only want 3 nights so have opted for Bonanza 1 which is about 13k from Brugge and looks to be handy for Zebrugge ferry..

We stayed at Bonanza/Blankenburg on the way back to Dunkirk 3 years ago, nice walk into the town and beach and handy for the train to Bruges.

We have stayed next door at De Wielen (as it is my Daughters best friend) they have a motorhome area.
They are brothers I think.
But yes its handy for the train to Brugge.

It is worth the cost I can assure you.
No transport costs into city, everything there for you
Not exactly large plots but adequate
I believe the "lost ticket" ploy does not work as we saw an official coming round one day taking reg numbers.
Small shopping centre say about 750 yds away for forgotten items, a coffee etc.

Been a few times if you use sat TVs do not park on left as you go down the drive. I found signal intermittent

@Jac Sprat
I have just returned from Brugge.
I will send the address by PM.
The reason for that is if its on the open forum anyone can read it and soon it will be full.
It is at the side of the canal where the boats are lived in full time.
So should be safe.
Here is a photo
