Faz Gosto is just around the corner from the southern car park in Faro, camper contact 10757.
We did this place a couple of years ago. Came across it by accident and Lynne spotted the lunch special menu, or 'menu almoca' so we gave it a go.
Today in Faro not really expecting the offer to still be on we headed in that direction at around 'lunchtime'. An uninspiring exterior is misleading.
Yup, deal still on - we're in!!
The first thing you get is the olive oil with a splash of balsamic for dipping, poured at the table. Wine and water is included in the deal.
We both had Camenbert salad starters.
Lynne had the special of 'belly of tuna' which came with three nice bits of tuna, clams and prawns. The waitress filled her bowl...
and then left about the same again in the tureen on the table! It made her day on discovering the large prawns had heads and tails on but the middle had been shelled!
I chose the sucullent pig cheeks...
We finished with tiramasu and poached pear
followed by coffee.
This place is michelin (and Darren & Lynne) recommended but no stars yet.
So in the style of @Robert Clark, (like the rest of the post) what do you think the bill came to? - bearing in mind we had linen tablecloth AND napkins.
