I have a as new 15 inch steel wheel with my present Rapido. New van has arrived at dealers with 16 inch alloys. Would a 15 inch make the new van limp in a puncture situation ?
If a Funster would like to swap for a 15 inch please get in touch.
I will be round South Yorkshire and Southampton in June.
I'm in Tain l Hermitage on the Rhone at the moment and a Rapido 9000 DFH brand new expensive thing on the next pitch has a spare wheel fitted. Got me thinking.
Oh and its hissing it down here. Cheers all

The differential on the transmission would probably be very unhappy with different size wheels fitted on the drive 'axle'.

Probably will not fit anyway, the diff will not like it either for any distance.

If it's a brand new van it will probably fit as they've started using 118 pcd on both sizes but I would not advise it.

Make sure you get the correct spec from you supplying dealer but this is the new 16" wheel with 118 rather than the older 130 pcd

THIS is the older version

A more immediate problem than the effect on the diff. is likely to be the effect on ABS under braking and the effect on stability control - both of which work on the assumption that both wheels on an axle rotate at the same speed. At best it would light the ABS fault light; at worst it would cause instability during heavy braking.
