If you haven't been keeping up with the 'Interest' thread, all the info is here. In particular, see posts # 1, #42, #96, #157 & #158.
When we had 90 units expressing an interest & only 25 places, I did say that we would have to give musicians priority when booking opened. The main purpose of the weekend is to give musicians an opportunity to play together & then for others to listen, so there wouldn't be much point in losing a whole load of the musicians because they weren't quite quick enough to be in the first 25. We now have 50 places & quite a few people are now booked to do other things, so while I feel obliged to stick with the original plan, I will be very surprised if anyone booking promptly finds themselves bumped off by a later musician. With that in mind I am going to shorten the musician priority period to be just one week.
So get your names down now, whether you play an instrument or not. I'll keep both lists up to date & they will become a single list after a week. If you are an uncertain musician, as in "Well, I might play, if I hear a tune I recognise & I've had enough to drink & the wife isn't near enough to criticise, and ... and...", then put your name down anyway - nobody is going to make anybody do anything!
When booking, please provide the following information:
The cost will be £10 per unit per night (without EHU). Unless there are unforeseen expenses, this should produce a small surplus which will be donated to the MS Society. As many of you will know, my OH is now almost entirely dependent on a wheelchair & other aids because of Multiple Sclerosis & anything we can do to prevent the next generation suffering the same problems has to be worthwhile. The MS Society both sponsors much needed research & helps current sufferers where needed.

- Number of people
- Length of unit (so we put you in the right place on site)
- EHU required? Note – there are only 7 available & one of those will have to share with the marquee. If EHU is a medical requirement, please mention it. Cost is £4/night.
- Registration number – required by campsite for insurance purposes (provide via Conversation if preferred)
- Instrument(s) you intend to play, if any. Human voice counts if you can lead songs, but a tambourine does not count for this purpose (sorry!). That’s not to say that you can’t play a tambourine (in moderation!), just that it doesn’t get you preferential booking. To the undoubted annoyance of some, ukuleles do count & are very welcome!
- Arrival day & number of nights. The meet runs from Friday to Monday (3 nights). If you plan to arrive before Friday, please let me know. It may be necessary for early arrivals to change pitch on the Friday.
