I've just ordered a Kampa midi pod tall inflatable awning, cost £299 which I think is quite good as couldn't find it anywhere near that price anywhere else

not long enough
we have one, Kampa Air XL, they are heavy and put quite a lot of strain on the Omnistor awning which needs to be wound out far enough to attach it to, then wound in, ours is now slightly bent

but once that bit is done they are pretty quick to erect, a few more pumps than they claim, in high winds they just collapse and re-erect, but it has to be strong for that (bring and buy 2015) ours survived

not cheap though, but the weight and manhandling to attach is the worst bit, if your Omnistor is the same as ours the track the awning beading fits in is aluminium and has snagged our beading cover on the sharp edges at the ends, making the insertion even harder

you did ask (y)

but in summary, we may well buy another I have heard the latest has an improved design

ours is the three panel and extra height, so the heaviest they do

If you remember, we picked your brains at the Wrenbury bring &buy about your awning and you mentioned the weight and how it had bent your Omnistor. We went on to buy the 260L at the Lincoln Show and the sales guy mentioned that it was best to use a brush to take the weight on the Omnistor as you attached the awning and wound it in. We've used his method and have had no problems.

Yes this is who we bought it from, also bought the kit to attach it to wind out awning at £26. Gave them a call before ordering and seemed very helpful and knowledgable

We bought the Kampa midi air tall at the lower price £299 from the same people off ebay on saturday. Cant wait for it to be delivered and to try it out. We do not have a wind out or rail on our autosleeper Ravenna so am not sure of the best fixing method.

Good luck and enjoy.

Ours is due for delivery on Monday, I would assume you can just use the straps over the roof that's the method we used with last awning.

 Thank you everyone for your advice, and good to meet up with some Funsters at the show, if a tad muddy!!!
We ended up buying the Vango drive away awning, it's specs seem to suit our needs, especially for our dogs....
