:clap:Heehee we are shipping out on Fri 29th of April Portsmouth Caen. Our very FIRST trip taking our Kathleen abroad! Very excited! Due to family illness we have had to cut our holiday short - down to 2-3 weeks meandering along through Normany(ish) instead of 10-12 weeks whizzing through France, then going Northern Spain, down through Portugal. Into Southern Spain..The Costas...Granada, Barca up through Western France and home...ah well, there's always next year....

Had a very good crossing very flat, stayed at camping municiple at arromanches on the first night, good site close to village, had a good look round and keen to visit D day landing beaches and the memorials. We are now at le mont saint michelle, brilliant for cycling, Tweed had his first trip in the doggy trailer, loved it and the locals were very amused by it. Never used a sat nav before so thought it very funny when it went into meltdown at bayeux, unplanned road closures on the route and the alternative route, reverted to paper map and no probs, gave mr sat another chance, then when on dual carriageway we were diverted onto other side due to roadworks sat nav covered his eyes and said thats it dont want to play anymore. Anyway loving our trip, driving very easy and so motorhome friendly. Only issue so far we have lost a wheel trim somewher en route so are keeping our eyes open along the verges.

We'll be on our way next Friday, can't go quick enough!

Do you have a pic of Tweed in his trailer as we're thinking of getting one but not sure Milo will take to it. Did you get him used to it or just plonk him in and pedal off??

Not got any good pics of him in it yet but heres one doing his tank commander pose whilst we were taking a break. Whilst travelling he lies down and faces forwards and is fastened in with a harness. This is a small size trailer think you would need a medium for a collie. We just encouraged him into with a treat to start with, now he loves going in it. It has been brilliant and folds up to fit in the locker nicely.

Now in surgeres was planning to go to ile d'Oleran today however Monsieur Peugeot threw a hissy fit, went to start engine, normally bursts into life straight away, this time struggled to fire up then sounded really rough but after revving all sounded good but then orange emission's control light came on. As its a new van decided to call the warranty breakdown company who sent a very nice homme to look at it he advised OK to drive to Peugeot garage to get it plugged into computer. Garage could not do the big plug in today we have to go back tomorrow morning. Hopefully it will just be a reset of some gismo or other but thought we should get it checked out as its under warranty. All is still good and a good excuse to sit out in the sun drinking vin blanc, will see what tomorrow brings.
