Tag Axle (1 Viewer)

Simple one this but I dont know the answer. Whats a TAG Axle, I may have one

Yes, thats where I picked up on it. What is it, where does it get its name from, why not just call it twin axle, is it to differenciate between the front or rear axle on a double axle.

It is a second axel to spread the weight but it is not 'driven' .... I guess it just 'tags' along for the ride

exactly the same as a single axle but with a complete second axle 'tagged' on behind the first one.

i cant figure out Desco's diagram eitheroh: looks like a pivoting axle to me. but that wont have any sprung suspension only pivotal movement.

But Geo.......that would look stupid sat behind the ducato's front (driven) axle.
