I asked a question the other day that had about this in the answer. I believe it is the second axel at the back on those wagons that have twin back axels.

Yes, thats where I picked up on it. What is it, where does it get its name from, why not just call it twin axle, is it to differenciate between the front or rear axle on a double axle.

It is a second axel to spread the weight but it is not 'driven' .... I guess it just 'tags' along for the ride :ROFLMAO:

exactly the same as a single axle but with a complete second axle 'tagged' on behind the first one.

i cant figure out Desco's diagram either:Doh: looks like a pivoting axle to me. but that wont have any sprung suspension only pivotal movement.

Mmmm!!!! saying that i remember lady penelopes roller had twin front axles.....and yes, that looked stupid as well.:Doh:
