We're off to Blackwall Plantation CC site near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. All four of us are really looking forward to it, not been away since we returned home from France at the end of July. Anyone else away? :Cool:

Bank Holiday

We are going to a small CClub CL site near Sutton Bank in Thirsk North Yorks we have stayed there before, did not want to travel far with all the traffic and Hook Up was a priority for some one to watch the F1. Hope the weather is better than the forecast so we can tale advantage of the walks in the area. -Sue

We are off to an M.C.C. rally at Selsey on the Sussex coast. Weather forecast for the area is looking quite good. :Cool:Hope all of the Funsters have a great Bank Holiday weekend wherever you may be.:thumb:

i thought we were going to our holiday cottage in scotland for a long overdue visit but 'er indoors said no!!!!

looks like the bank holiday weekend will be spent mostly building a new, level, hardstanding for the motorhome:thumb: so she still wont be able to go anywhere else......payback time.

we are off to the GREAT DORSET STEAM FAIR, we go on the Sunday to get settled in ready for the main show starting next Wednesday, so if we dont see anyone we will catch up with most of you at shepton mallet

No doubt, we'll be drooling and having Christmas decorations coming from our mouths at the Frankia stand.

It seems a very poor show this bank holiday had cancellations left right and centre. It seems many people are staying at home or not coming to Wales because of the rain

C&CC Devises, it's going to be long morning 'at work' 'till 12:30, then woo ho:thumb:

RAIN! Rain means different clothes we thought, and another aspect to 'camping'. We were at C&CC Keswick, front row seats (very comfy ones) to the lake. We shouldn't have been but the Lake came to us. Loads left in panic, I just stayed with Winne, wife went to meet friends at the pub, for one day just in case and had a brilliant time, rain, pah!

Hi Dylan, its ironic, were not going anywhere because the sites are normally to crowded.

The last Bank Holiday If we stepped out of our mh we were in the bedroom of next doors tent.

Between Caravan awnings there wasnt enough room to put a chair out.oh:

God knows how many frisbies and balls bounced off us.:shout:

Never again !!!!.

As wrinkles don't bother with bank holidays normally to crowded, and I do hate it when having a meal next door knocking on window and asking you to pass the salt

So will stay put and think of our next 6 weeks in Scotland in a few weeks.

Why are people complaining about campsites being full, you are self contained in a motorhome, you don't NEED a site thats the whole point of them. Apart from a show I have not used a site in 44years, Brave, don't be silly what is brave about going to some nice secluded spot and staying the night.:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Hi Jim, next time you are my way call in and say hello, each pitch has loads of room each side and no problems with toys round the mh and vans either.
A very poor showing still think it must be down to the weather as only 2 booked turned up !
