Of to The Southern M/H show at Romsey Nr Southampton. We have never been to this small show so thought we would give it a go. Anyone else attending. The wife has booked us in the Disabled area. We are then going to a site at Birdham Nr Chichester for a few days. Do hope the weather will be kind to us some of the time.

Hope it's better than last year, I went down for the day via motorcycle and was disappointed with how small this show was to be honest.

Got to show at 3pm. Had a quick walk round to sus out. Yes it itis small but this is part of our 10 day break to make sure all is ok with M/H. All is good so far.

Had a walk round show and met another member called motorhome man. It is very muddy and van's being towed of. Hope it's better Monday when we leave.

If you shout real loud I'll be able to hear you from where I am in the New Forest, slightly closer to Salisbury than Romsey.

Best of luck with the weather and do have a look at Chichester Harbour when you are down in Birdham it is a lovely part of the world.

Good thinking, the Crown and Anchor is at Dell quay but the slightly more expensive Millstream Hotel in Bosham has an excellent restaurant.

Very true, we frequented them all fairly often when we lived in Bracklesham Bay The Kings Head in Birdham was good too - think it's an Indian restaurant now though ?

Might sound like a daft question, but where IS Chichester harbour?
Just spent four great days in the area (at the CC&C site at Southbourne).

Gave the bus pass a bashing on the 700 route which stopped just outside the site. Also went via Chichester to the air museum at Tangmere. Missed out on the harbour - obviously.

Great part of the world though. Will go back.

Been twice ,been towed out twice not going again ..ever. Rubbish show and rubbish weather .didnt see any funsters even though I was flying the motorhome fun duster ..however Romsey Abbey and the town are worth a good visit . Roy

That's a shame ,I would have like to have said hi ,,I was well stocked with some nice wines and spirits even though I don't drink myself .. ..decided to leave early as van was sinking slowly into the ground. Haha .took them two attempts to get me out onto the road.how did you get on.?? Roy

I was doing well on the way in until the steward stopped me and then I sunk in and had to be towed the last 10 metres to the pitch, but managed to drive out under my own steam.

Hi. This was our first and last time. Show very small and not many stands. We did get a couple of bits. We decided to leave Sunday morning and go onto a site at Birdham about 30 miles from the show. We watched loads of vans being towed off in the mud. I was very lucky and found 2 very large cardboard boxes jammed under front wheels and got the 100 yards to the gavel road. Very lucky. Will not go back.

Hi all, yeh we left Sunday as well, as everyone else has said, not much going on at show and site not too well organised, we won't be going back either.
