we left in bessacarr for dover no problem on p&o ferry , and in club class lounge very good journey off at calais and onto motorway for about 100km found a nice quiet aires to stay in, 5 minutes later blue lights and police advising not to stay in the quiet sites as will be gassed and locks drilled ( they even give you a letter to explain this issue , so off to a busy garage aires for the night with the lorries, carried on next day to disney ( toll from calais to paris 30 euro ), excellent toilet/showers at disney and very well kept by the staff ( shame about some of the animals who use these and make such a mess , maybe they treat there own homes the same ) disney very good as expected and 13 euro/24 hours to park , 2 french registered vans pulled up next to us early hours one morning and very noisy until about 7am when they left and the mess they left behind was minging ( some people really are scum ) , 4 days at park and starting to get busy by last day , set off back avoiding toll motorways and had a very pleasnt jounrney back through small villages with stops as we felt like it and loved the local culture and friendly people , at dover advised to park in the port car park as safe for overnight parking , back on p&o and good journey back , really is worth the extra for club lounge if you have not tried it as waiter service free papers , free drinks , luxury chairs private toilets and shower to use if required
solar panels and new leisure batteries preformed superb and had no shortage of electric while away and could not take all the power being produced , altough inverter problem limited us to about 800w of mains power instead of the normal 1.5kw ( now replaced and back to normal and spare invertor just in case ) , while on ferry we left invertor running fridge and freezer on 240v so all stayed nice and cold without gas on , it surprises me how many motorhomes have no power without running engines or generators as we had lots of people look surprised and ask how when we were using mains appliances with no hook up
will be getting disney annual passes at £199 as these include free parking and discounts on food and goods
will be going back to france soon to see more of it , shame everywhere is spoilt by the few
