Brian James Micomax trailer tyre pressures please (1 Viewer)

I've just bought a Brian James Smart trailer (secondhand) and am carrying a Smart . Could any funster advise me of the tyre pressures required for such a set up. I've asked various companies and all they say is try 60 or try 70. I need to be exact as our next trip is a lengthy one.

As a by the by, the Phoenix Smart car trailer I had needed 60 psi in the tyres

I run mine at the pressure marked on the sidewall. I can't say whether the car feels the bumps or not .

Wilf, I always used to run them at 60psi with the car on I think I got that from BJ. But it worked for 3 years with me.

Wilf don't forget the trailer weight itself so 1100 kg.

Tyre pressures in J-rated trailer tyres have been increased by the manufacturers in the last 12months .
155/70/12 now 80psi.they were having a lot of problems with casing failure at between 60 & 70psi.
so now up to 80psi and it has improved the problem.

My Brian James trailer is placarded on the front A frame. It states the tyre pressure on the placard
Yours should have one, as it also carries the trailer serial number
