jacks will not work because control panel light says the hand brake is not on but it is. Can anyone help please.

Check the hand brake switch is contacting, does it put a light up on the dashboard when its on?

we have a similar light comes on if the system thinks the ground is too far out of level to work, we can still use in 'hand' with that light on though

it will need a specialist E + P man I would think, I presume it is not new or you would go back to whoever fitted it, might be worth just pulling the fuse and doing a reset

we have had a couple of odd occasions where ours wouldn't deploy due to 'level' despite being nearly flat, I suggest you try in hand, then reset it, then kick it does yours have a remote control? if yes maybe check those batteries?

As a break away post, but still on E + P's, our installer Mick SAP Doncaster suggested to me to use hand rather than auto levelling as in auto it always lifts higher than actually needed for no real reason

I would have thought that a decent Auto electrician or mechanic could check the wiring to the handbrake, but after that it may well be a service job.

The basic layout schematic is on page 26 of this

You will have the basic wired panel then, we have that but on a trailing lead rather than fixed and then we have the wireless remote as well.

have you tried using it in hand instead of auto, presuming you have both options?

if the hand brake light is on I would have thought the problem is in the E + P side (somewhere)

It won't work in hand or auto, but just checked and the hand brake light is not on.
Some thing else now the remote key will not unlock the steering but the spare key will.

suggests its possibly the handbrake switch or the wiring to it.
