Seen red kites in other places but never seen one over Shropshire, we get plenty of buzzards though. Good to hear they're moving in.

If you're in or close to Ludlow then yes, you're in South Shropshire, about 30 miles south west (ish) of us.

You very definitely have kites then  seen yesterday and today. Having seen six in the same sky I wondered if they were being fed but it is amazing how quickly they drift apart when soaring and I laugh when the crows try to join them as if they wannabe

If it's like buzzards the crows are not joining them but attacking them to keep them away from their nests and young, and believe it or not the crows always win and move them on.

Yes we often see crows "mobbing" buzzards around this time of year and as Chaser said its surprising but the crows always seem to win.

Staying at Wayside caravan park Aston on Clun pair of Red Kites nesting at end of drive next to main road.
We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and they were about most of the day, we are here again this weekend and spotted them twice this evening.
