As the title says.. a pair of 145 aH batteries for sale
They are proper maintanance free with in built gas expansion chambers so zero gas discharge in to the van even if over charged
Bought at Peterborough last year and have now upgraded again to 3 x 110aH jobbies
They cost JUST shy of £300
Looking for £120 for the pair
We are going to Peterborough and can take them with us if that helps... Other than that it would be collection only I am afraid due to weight..

OK, no interest.. How about a dutch auction then..
£10 off until they go ( unless the price drops below the scrap value which is currently about £26 )
First one to put there hand up gets them.

Soooo.. Now at £110 the pair ( and please do not forget,, these are a serious upgrade for almost anyone ! )

Can you put the dimensions of them, as space may be a problem

Because I wanted to.. Simples really (y)
It was the easiest and most cost effective way to gain a few more hours of battery life.

To give you an idea of what these ones are capable of, we only used hook up ONCE while in Benidorm.
That is once in 9 weeks
9 weeks effectively wilding.. And that includes about a weeks worth of over cast weather with the solar panels putting little back in
Next year part of the plan is to go visit friends in Greece.. They built an amazing place right down south ( they are Greek mind you ) and have no piped ( so to speak ) services at all.. We will be there for a few weeks so want every bit of battery power we can muster :)

Surely, not a whole lot to do with your batteries but your solar panels and Benidorm sun.

We managed a month on one 100Ah battery and one 100W panel.

Yes.. but we had a whole week with very very little to no sun, then a period of three days very overcast
And that is the point really
Whilst we would all love to say we can rely on the over head heater, no matter where we are likely to go to it will always be hit and miss..
By increasing capacity we reduce the risk of her not being able to watch Emmerdale !!

Fair enough, and that is a very frightening thought, but you really need to increase the solar to match the batteries otherwise they go flat but the solar will never recharge them, in other words solar in good light must run all your devices plus have enough excess to put a decent charge into the batteries.

Or of course if you move regularly then you throw the alternator into the equation.

As a matter of interest we, with 100W panel + 100Ah battery we were clinging on by our fingernails in the week sun of Chester last weekend. Central heating + LEDs + TV and I was watching the BM1 graph dipping, recovering, dipping recovering but never back to 100%. Another 100W panel would have made a big difference. So the battery coped with the night load but the solar did not replenish it during the day.

Bottom line is, more batteries will give longer before the lights go out but only enough energy in to meet demand is the real solution.

Anyway, you've put a bargain on line so someone should snatch your hand off.

Now down to £90.00 for the pair !
We have no room left on the roof for any more panels Brian !
When the batteries are low and we get some good sun, the charge rate has been as high as 16 amps
That is a pretty good return on the panels we have .. Much more and I would have to change the feed wires ! :)
