Change of plan, usually follow the A23 route through Teruel/Zaragoza/somport tunnel. We are now going to join @Teasy2007 in benicarlo having met them here in benicassim. We want to go back through the somport tunnel as we love the scenery that way, we wondered if the N232 is ok as it would save driving back south to the A23. We are 7.5mtrs.
Thoughts advice please :)

Was a bit worried about the wiggly looking bits to the south of the route:)

Pat, don't want to put a dampner on it but our 2015 Michelin atlas shows a stretch of red and white hatch marked road on the N232 just north of MORELLA which the index shows as ' Road in Bad Condition '
I am sure Boringfrog will be right though!

We were considering going that way but chose Girona way. Currently on the ACSI site just west of Figureres at Esponella. A nice country site and a change from the seaside .

Hmm, I will get Les to do the Google maps run. Thanks ever so much Barry @namwaldog that's just the kind of scenario don't want to run into! Where you going after Figures? If we change plan we may follow you up. Wanted to go through the somport tunnel but don't want to go south to go north:(

There is a bit that is a bit sguiggly heading from Morella to Alcaniz but nothing to worry about, done it twice now in our 8m Frankia. Alcaniz is worth a visit too, love the Somport route. We had a great return that way last November, got above the clouds and saw loads of vultures. Might try over the top next time.Should have said, the bit that is red and white is the bit they haven't upgraded yet,you can see where they are going to run the new road beside the old road. Like other bits of Spain they have ran out of money and put it on hold.

We did that route from Zaragosa to Morella last autumn. Yes there are bits of old road but very scenic, good aire at Morrela too with great views of castle. Challenging walk to the rop but worth it

Right, @tonka just done the Google run some bits look a bit messy but Google maps is dated 2009.
@bigtree thanks, we are only 7.5 so if you managed it recently I'm sure we can do it. Last June we saw the vultures just after we got through the tunnel, amazing. I love your cat BTW.
@newbee as above, if you managed it recently that's great info thanks.
I think we will take that route, looks very scenic. Thanks very much everyone for your help, this forum is great(y)
