can anyone recommend a good one to use in van or house.we dont have any problems yet (that we know of) but think would be good thing to have.thanks

I like Broken Link Removed but only because its what you say when you find Damp

seriously for what the average owner needs a simple B & Q tester will do, and its local,so if your not happy take it back
e-bay is alive with alternatives

Rename them as paranoia meters. A poor one can reassure or panic in whatever degrees the inaccuracies goes.

A lot of us bought this non-invasive type when it was available for about half the price it is in this link. It's a decent bit of kit and has the advantage of not needing to jab pins through your expensive walls.

I paid about £49 as well Jim. I searched back for the link we were all using at the time and the entire website has gone. It was digital-meters.com

It's also unavailable on Amazon.
