Hi, we are recently back from Spain, and we frequented Gibraltar for bits and bobs. We found an excellent watch repairers in Gib. If anyone needs a new battery, a repair, or even a complete overhaul of their watch, try;

The Watch Clinic, Bell Lane, Gibraltar.
They are tucked out of the way, in a tiny shop.
Bell lane is on the left as you walk up Main St, away from Casemates Square.

e.g.
My Tissot watch was fitted with a new genuine battery, serviced, cleaned, re-sealed, pressure tested, and the strap cleaned for £34.95p. Including a 12 month warranty! It was like new when I collected it. I was quoted by the jewellers on the IOM, £150.00 as it had to be sent to Tissot to have this done.

My wife had her Fossil watch repaired there (this was the reason we went), serviced, new battery, pressure tested, re-sealed, and tested over three days for accuracy, and a 12 months warranty for £14.95p! She was quoted, again on the IOM £100.00 to have this done!

There are three very knowledgable watch repairers in the shop, and give a first class service.
They repair, service, renovate, and fit genuine batteries to any watch from Rolex to Timex.

Just a bit of info if you are down that way,

Craig

I wonder if they would do a repair if you posted the watch to them? I've got an old fob watch which has stopped working.

Edit: a quick Google finds this, I'll email them and ask. Thanks for the tip!

Yes they will. I asked them this and they do a postal repair service. I am sending off my old Seiko watch, and they are going to refurbish it.

There's a stall in our shopping centre with a sign "Watch repairs done here"
Well, after standing there for a few minutes, the guy asked what I was after. I said I was just wanting to watch him do some repairs as per his sign, but it was really boring so I wasn't staying.
He muttered something but I didn't quite catch it.
It's great being retired. :D

More expensive than a HABITATION SERVICE (i.e.,Quick look round) on a motorhome. BUSBY.

yes but a bit more involved....most of the time is taken running the watch to make sure its not running fast or slow.(no batteries perpetual motion). have had this watch since I was 50, it looks no different now 13 years later, worn 24/7 even when i worked in construction.......Top quality - Love it!

value of habitation service questionable at best as well as if they even do anything. i used to get yearly damp check for 60 €. Watch serviced every 6-7 years supposed to be 5
