In my slide camper (demountable :ROFLMAO:) my battery charger is in 110 volts US, do you know where I can find a transformer 220 to 110 volts ? I found it in France but I thought that perhaps it would be more interesting in UK, you are closer to USA than ours ::bigsmile:
Thanks

hi weymard,

it would make more sense to change the battery charger to a 230v model.

converting 230v to 110v to 12v is not very efficient.

It is not usually a problem with most RV equipment but US is 60Hz and Europe is 50Hz so even with a 240 to 120 transformer fitted, some electronics incorporating transformers may run hotter and some motors may run slower.

You are right, it all which run in 110. The essential is the fridge but I do not use often in 110, especialy in gaz or 12 v. Now I have an old transformer (dating of Yankees invasion in 1950 :ROFLMAO: with theirs all military bases :ROFLMAO:) , it work great to charge my battery but too little it warm quickly and in more it is not waterproof !!
For the question 50 Hz or 60 Hz, it is not a problem to charge a battery or run a fridge or ventilator. I do not have a conditioner, fortunately !
