can anyone recomend a site from which to see paris either on a train bus or metro route?

Camping Bois de Boulogne is nearest into Paris.

The camp offers a bus service from directly outside the gate that takes you towards Paris centre, dropping you at a Metro station. You can also get service buses from that point into the city.

The site is large, a bit impersonal, but pitches are individually marked and the site is pretty secure. There are all the usual services, EHU, waster disposal for grey and black water. At height of season there is also a restaurant.
