Advice please......I have a solar panel that continually tops up the engine and leisure batteries. I assume that installing a second leisure battery increases the length of time I can run devices off battery. If my assumptions are correct what do I need to consider when purchasing a second leisure battery?

Make sure that the two batteries match there have been several threads on this subject try search and include leisure batteries.

Yes indeed. But also increases the time to charge the two batteries.

The bottom line is, if you use more electricity than the solar can provide then your batteries go flat.

If you can hook up and quickly charge 2 batteries you will last twice a long, assuming similar batteries. Same if you move on a lot and the engine can charge up two batteries on the move.
