I seem to remember reading that CC members can get a discount on the M6 Toll Road.

If anyone has used this could you explain what is required when you have to pay?

From memory I showed my membership card at the pay booth , It was a couple of years ago so may have changed.

You must use the booth with an attendant and show them your CC membership card. They record your CC number, from the card, and charge the reduced rate.

They charge the "car" rate whatever that is, the price I mean.....

We came through in Feb. Make sure you go to a manned booth, show your card and it reduces from £11 to £5.50

I tried 2 years ago, showed card, but had to pay full rate. Spoke to CC, they advised if it happens again, pull in and ask for a supervisor. So waiting to see what happens this Thursday.

That's fine but you've lost the chance of using CLs if you want them.

However, if you don't, it's all profit.

I'll be using it on Thursday, saves my membership most years.

You don't have to go to a manned booth. Just press the intercom and ask for cc discount. They will then ask for membership number, adjust your fee. Then pay and on you go. We can only use unmanned booths coming off where we do.

I use it twice a week and its no problem. just show your card and they give you the car price. saved a bucketload so far!
