Hi all - greetings, just joined the web site. I wonder if you can help me.

Never had a motorhome before so got all the brochures. I wanted a motorhome to live in permanently, less than 6metre with a permanent bed (preferably in the roof). I ended up with a shortlist of 12. However, there is only so much that you can get from a brochure so I wanted to see the real thing. I went to the Western Motorhome show with high hopes but not a single one of them there . Rang the dealers - "No, we haven't got that model in stock".

The Eura Mobil's that I was considering were the TT 590 FB or TI 506 LB.

So, to get to the point, is there anyone in the East of England area (I live in Hertfordshire) who owns one of these motorhomes and who would be willing to show it to me. That would be much appreciated (and I would bring a bottle of wine). Thank you to anyone who can help me.
Regards
John

Sorry can't help with Euro-Mobil but you may find someone on here who does, there are a lot of different models amongst the Funsters.

It is often said that your third MH is the right one, so much for brochures and visits. Personally I think that buy a decent used one and get the feel of it is the way to go. We did that and we are still using it 2 years on, looks like we got lucky. It's not perfect, we lack good lounge space but everything else is excellent.

Our Burstner A530 is just to your spec !

Thanks and More details

Well, some quick replies. Thanks to you all and the suggestions. I was looking for small but to live in permanently so not too small. Under 6m seemed to be about right. Fixed bed because I didn't want to keep making and un-making it every day - and out of the way if possible giving room for a bigger wetroom and kitchen. I'm on my own so don't need lots of extra space. I did and am concidering the second hand option, at least for the first year. I want to go around Europe (with LHD) but was going to travel the UK for the first year (RDH) just to get used to travelling in a motorhome. So, secondhand RDH then new LHD may be the way to go. However, I'd want the secondhand one to be (at least near) to the spec of the one I currently expect to buy.

hilldweller gave me a shock - I thought he was using my picture as his Avatar :whatthe:

Do you think I should change my handle (if possible) rather than use my name?

Regards
John

You poor sod, you have my sympathies.

Handle - it's up to you to weigh up the risks, if you don't have a fixed base that might get robbed because you tell everyone in the world that you are away and you're not a delicate teenage virgin then what's wrong with your name ?

Have you tried UserCp for a name change, if that fails maybe you have to email Jim the site owner and if he can't do it tell him he's rubbish.
