Unfortunately we clipped the mirror on the way back yesterday and lost the casing on the back. (And the little circular fisheye mirror)
We're going to go to Frsnce Tuesday anyway as the mirror itself is useable although the leads are visible now . Does anyone know anywhere between Calais and Riemes who might be able to fix that for us?

Thanksz
Are they good and not rip off merchants?
Also is it the sort of thing we have to ring ahead to order ?
Finally will we need the whole mirror replacing do you think?
I appreciate your advice

Jeez !!!!
I just read some threads on this and it sounds a very expensive damage.
Could we just stagger on with our damaged mirror? The actual mirror works fine, just lost little small circular one and the plastic back.

If you access the Internet, access Hymer.com and search out dealers/repairers you are near (you can then view on a map) and then I would phone around and see which one is best.

Do you find the fish eye circular mirror useful on the passenger side? This is what has dropped off.
Is it necessary for spotting cyclists.
Getting a bit worried now....

I would guess the stick-on mirror was added after manufacture. Not sure what age your Hymer is but the stick-on was not fitted by Hymer so far as I am aware. Get one in any accessories shop, or you could fit a larger one on the top like I have (on both sides). If you want these, they are called Hercules and fasten to the main mirror housing with a screw clamp that is invisible once fitted.

Thank you
I've uploaded two pics (see thumbnails below) to show where the mirror goes and to show the lack of casing on the back.
The van is 2006 age.
It looks to me like the fisheye mirror is integral to the mirror.

As I thought, the stick-on circular mirror has been fitted by a previous owner. You can get similar in Halfords etc. Personally I prefer the larger wide-angle mirrors that I have fitted on top.
The main mirror casing is available - as an example below is an Ebay link (just make sure it is for the correct year). Also a link for Brownhills Ebay shop which has the 'genuine' article but is more expensive.

The circular bit looks like an add on I would gaffer tape up the back and use the van till You get a replacement the wide angle mirror can be useful as there are blind spots on Motorhomes like most vehicles.

Thanks
I think the magnum company just does UK build only ?
Also our van is late 2006 I believe and the Brownhills specify 1999-2006 only.
I will contact both though

We just ordered a pair of self adhesive Sumex blind spot 2.8 inch round mirrors from Amazon prime for £4.49!
Looks like it'll do the job nicely.
Cannot believe it is self adhesive and under a fiver !

I'd be interested in buying the black one though of you don't mind splitting them?
Are you sure it would fit our 2006 van mirror ? I put some pics on this thread.

From your photo of the back of the mirror It is made by Mekra Lang in Germany and is identical to the ones fitted to Burstners.
I have had two mirrors broken on my Burstner so i know exactly what they look like without the back.
Just measure the height and width and check with @sparky that they are in fact the same size.
Im prepared to bet they are.

You may have got it sorted but in case not, this may be useful information. You state your van is late 2006 but the pictures you posted show the same mirror system as fitted between 2000-2005. Does yours have the newer tear-drop shaped headlamp units, or does it have twin Hella round lamps on each side? If the latter, then it is a 2005 model year although it may not have been registered until late 2006. If it has tear-drop shape then it is 2006 model year onwards. I thought the 2006-> models had mirrors that hang down from the top of the side screens.

I tried the stick on mirrors but returned them keeping the same ones Jean-luc has, which I bought online very cheaply.
