My leisure battery is located under the drivers side step (RH side). So when I come to do a battery check with my voltmeter I have to remove the step. Is it possible (safe) to run some short extension cables to the inside of the van from the battery terminals where I can do my battery checks?
There is no where else the battery can be located!
Thanks

That's what I would do by the sounds of it or permanently wire in a digital voltmeter that gives you a constant readout.
Ta andy.

Haven't you got a 12 volt socket anywhere?

Getting better month by month.
What about the "jump start" post under the bonnet if you have them.

Cheers Andy, never thought of that, doh! I have also been thinking of buying a portable solar panel, how would I go about connecting it to the leisure battery?

Cheers Andy, I want to avoid using Croc clips as the battery is in an awkward location, so just plugging it into a 12v socket is the safest and easiest option for me. Thanks for the link by the way, that's a great gadget.
