Does anyone know how many Motorhomes in UK (1 Viewer)

Does anybody know how to find out how many Motorhomes are currently registered in the UK?

I think ive seen it on here before but can only find old data on google.

This is the annual figures.. Last time I looked for this info I found a total figure of around 130,000 but since heard it may be as high as 200,000...

There was an article in a french MH mag. recently saying there was 1,600,000 registered in Europe, on that basis I would have thought 130,000 was the more accurate.

Sorry about the 'French' but you'll get the basis...81332 new MHs sold, more than 10,000 in the UK etc etc.

From have some figures Here that I researched a little over 2 and a half years ago there were around 158,000 at the end of 2012. From some figures that @John & Joan sent me a little while ago there were something in excess of 21,000 new registrations in 2014/2015 so, taking into account scrappage I would guess around 175,000.

John might have been able to collate something more accurate.

The 23k for added in 2015 is for caravans, should be 10.5k for MHs so about 215k in the UK...

Whatever the total it's still a heck of a lot less per capita than in mainland Europe.

This might be interesting to some although the latest data included is for 2012. It is the answer given to a Freedom of Information request for New MoHo registrations by month and year.

Big drop when the recession started from over 15k per annum to less than 10k and not recovered by 2012.
