A long time
Just changed from a caravan with fixed double bed to a MH with 2 singles.
We have been out in the MH twice before the snow came and used single duvets which were ok but cold on the rear end at 3.00 in the morning!
Any views on preference i.e.
warmth
ease of cleaning
thx Chris

Last weekend we used our 10.5 tog double duvet in the overcab & as we were on EHU we had the oil filled rad on low all night & we were toasty :)

Duvets v sleeping bags is personal preference in our opinion.

Duvets every time, and a single one each even in a double bed - wraps yourselves up nice and toasty - we don't like sleeping bags ourselves, but personal preference. We have 4.5 tog duck and down ones but when its cold we always take an extra blanket.

We used sleeping bags in the Autoquest when we had to make up the bed each day but use a duvet on the fixed bed in the Burstner.

We sleep on top of old flat sleeping bag with duvet over us. Then if it gets really cold during night it is easy to slip easily into old bag for extra warmth. Works a treat.

We use a wool duvet lovely and warm as well as cool in the summer. I sewed two single duvet bags together and put a duvet in one of them for the girls. they work like huge sleeping bags :) That way they sleep head to two and have the space of a duvet. We don't like being restricted by a sleeping bag.

We use the sofas as single beds, I use a silk filled duvet and use it all year round as it keeps you warm when its cold and cool when its not. Ray likes to use a sleeping bag but I don't find them very comfortable.

I have the same dilemma. I will be making a bed up every night. I wondered whether an extra wide silk sleeping bag liner, with a duvet over would work. I am not a big fan of sleeping bags. Would also reduce the areas available for biting insects to attack. Has anyone else tried this method?

We have done both. Double sleeping bags are just a bit too constricting for my liking. We bought a special double sleeping bag which wasn't designed to be split into singles but it was too slippy so we have reverted to a King size duvet with a fleece blanket if needed.

Double duvet for each person even on a single bed. You double it over and sleep between it. Saves the cold bum etc.

We have two fixed single beds like you. Cant stand sleeping bags, so we do as we normally do at home. Use fitted sheet and single duvet. The duvet is an all year one - it has two duvets velcroed together. One 9tog and one 4.5tog. So choice of 4.5, 9 or 13.5tog. Never had a cold bum yet.

Duvet with tog according to season. If its very hot we either sleep on top or use a duvet cover with no duvet in it. Fiamma turbovent directly over the bed is great for really hot nights.
