I have today telephoned Newark Parking Office regarding can you or not park on the HGV Cattle Market Car Park on great north road.. The sign on the entrance states "No Caravans"

The lady I spoke to said YES.
She informed me that it can be used by all MH's 3.500kg an above.
The cost for parking (with or without occupancy) would be £12.50 for a 24hrs.
The 24hr period starts from the time you purchase the ticket from the Red machine on the left near the brown hut. This machine takes notes but does not give change.

My I suggest person who use this facility use the top or second car park as no fridge van should use this car park.

Why not go on a CL which is much nicer, has electric and helps the economy?

From the car park mentioned you can walk into town in about 5 mins, so it's ideal for visiting Newark.

If you used a cl, then you would still have to drive to town and pay to park (probably in this car park!)

Smeeton Lakes isn't a bad site. They have a rally field too. And fishing. 15 minute walk into Newark and a regular bus service from the site entrance.
