Can't really help except to say that Eire isn't particularly motorhome friendly with most lay-bys and parking areas appearing to have. height barriers.

drove many times to Southern Ireland in my Truck, used to go to Galway and the South all the way down, pulled over almost anywhere for the night, this was in a truck not a MH but I don't see any problem quite laid back they are in the South and the further South you go in like stepping back in time, Ring of Kerry is very pleasant, been a while since I was last there mind,

one place I can recommend is Howth pier to the north of Dublin,
free parking, nice town with easy commute into Dublin on the Dart railway, 53.38978 -6.07197
Greystones to the south of Dublin also has free parking, again with easy access to Dublin using the Dart railway, 53.14039 -6.060579
we also stayed over in Glendalough visitors centre car park one night with no problems,
also Galway harbour has cheap overnight parking for Motorhome,

I recommend joining

they will give you heaps of places to stay for a small subscription

Have just completed 1400k visiting family in Droghada and Clonakilty, also visited the Giants Causeway at the very top. Visited about 8 times over 20 years. Roads are a vast improvement on 20 years ago and main roads are all as good as UK A Roads. Beware of the toll charges around the M-Way around Dublin, it's steep for the amount of miles. Personally I would stay away from Dublin, mad busy, as expensive as London. Train in and then the tour bus. Droghada and the River Boyne are pretty. I wouldn't recommend the actual Ring of Kerry, as there are some pretty low bridges. I believe Funghi is still performing daily in Dingle Bay. Most towns will have some event on at week-ends. Very popular are the Farm / Agricultural shows, good food and entertainment.
There are not as many pubs as there once was, and a little research to find which pub has what music on what night.
On reflection we actually preferred N.I. or Ulster, for one thing you don't pay 30Euro for a bottle of rum or whiskey like in Southern Ireland and that's for the cheap stuff, Bushmills or Bells, Lambs etc 35/37 Euro. Not many wines under 10. Fuel cheaper in the North as well.
Restaurants expect to pay about 20Euro ahead, as minimum with 1 glass or 1 beer, in the south.
Not having the MH with us cannot voice an opinion.
Best tip; Buy the very latest road map available, numbers and names change all the time. Also Tripadvisor. Have a great time with the pronunciation of the small town and village names.

Here's a list of stops I used recently..
Not a detailed list and no Co ordinates but he's most of the stop overs..
1. Castlerock.. sea front car park... N Ireland0
2. Car park at the back of Stroove beach.. Co. Done gal.
3. Back of Trawbreaga bay on open grass
4. A view point above 5 finger strand just off the r242 road
5. Buncrana harbour...but there is also a mh aire just behind the tourist information office... think its 5 euro for electric...pay at the garage opposite.. didn't see any waste dump facilities..
6. Done gal town in car park by pier.. free from 180o to 0900 hrs.. or get a ticket.. only 2.7 euro for day.
7. Belmullet harbour car park.
8. Inch strand.. just on beach.. (loved this one.. )
Early morning jog and a dip..
9. Ross behy. . In a disused pub car park just above the beach..
10. Castletownbere. On the Beara peninsular. ..lay by onr571 just before entering town or again car park by port /harbour,but that was busy..

Two campsites.. Both excellent..
1.quigleys point .. Co donegal
2. Doolin Co. Clare. . There's two sites in village.. One by harbour.. One in centre of village..

As I've travelled south I've found nightly park ups in the nicer spots harder to find... A lot of low barriers preventing mh access..

I can add one or two more from memory..
Kinsale town.. car parking by harbour.. ticket required through day but free until 10.30 in morning
Fintown village Co donegal. . Picnic area car park just off main road through village.
BallyVaughan Co clare by the pier
Glenariff Co Cork again by a small pier but they like you moved by morning to allow ferry passages car parking space.
Andy.

And another just popped into mind..
Skerries Co Dublin. .. just north of Dublin. . On street parking just at the back of the beach.. free.
It has to be OK. . The local garda gave us an escorts to this spot after I stopped and asked them if they could help with a possible stop over.. really helpful and said just follow us... if the blue lights come on you will have to find it yourself lol..
Then they gave us the nod on a good restaurant before leaving..
