Just seen this posted on Facebook that BP council are opening more car parks to MHs for overnight, sleeping is allowed but no camping such as awnings, chairs and so on.

More a case of learning from constructive approaches by motorhomers

Apart from the restricted South Car Park, the car parks are all within my downloadable POI set which (using the .kml file) you can look at in Google Earth. Also, the post codes are provided on the council web pages for the individual car parks and you can use them to look on Google Maps.

All the car parks are reasonably close to the front. I've never used any overnight but I would expect they can get a bit noisy.

It's called desperation, the place has been dying for years. But from our point of view a good move if you want to sleep in a car park in Blackpool.

On the other hand the Pleasureland car park in Southport is brilliant, with facilities and Southport still has some life left in it, in fact the council have the park by the lake in great shape.

It's a long time since I've been to those car parks but it might get 'Interesting' during the various 'Wakes weeks' when the workers return to their coaches after a day out.

So t’Ramsbottoms spent time up the Tower
And in café’s and Pubs, they spent well
All because the good Burgers of Blackpool
Knew they’d got something to sell

Even better than sending thanks would be to go and use them and make a point of saying in shops etc where you are staying!!! Or if staying elsewhere still make a point of saying with your fingers crossed that you are staying in a motorhome.

This is Blackpool the seaside town of the North ..... of course it will be noisy that's the place they go to enjoy themselves, kiss me quick hats and lots of entertainment.
