I have had a quick look at past discussions and they have not really answered my question ,which is best as they not cheap I want to get it right . The screen that came with the van is next to useless . The mh I want it for is a 2015 fiat Ducato ,any input would be great ,thanks

I'm on my second silver screen. The first one was bought secondhand and fitted perfectly. The second one for a Pilote A class I phoned them up and they had a look, said (unlike all the others) " no need to measure, we can do one". They did and it arrived inside 3 days. Tried fitting it - perfect!! In both cases very well made. Can't comment about Taylor made ones, really, but both enjoy a good reputation

Silver screens are on mine but would have also bought 2nd hand Taylor made. I think both have as good a reputation as each other.

We have always had silverscreens but having read up on Taylor made they seem just as good. You will mit be dissapointing whichever you use.

I have a taylormade windscreen cover and bike cover they were both cheaper than silver screen and service was excellent had both for two years now and windscreen been on all both winters no sign of wear fit perfect and good thickness looked at cheap ones at shows but no comparison I always say cheap is in the end expensive but that's my opinion

Silverscreens here, never had a need for the others but they have a good following.

I brought taylor made ones about 3 years, and they are on most of the time. Still look good.

Dont laugh but the reason that they are left on the van is that I work 2 nights every 10 days and I sleep in the van, winter/summer. I should remove them but generally cant be bothered.

Had both on the last van brought Silverscreens after the Taylormades got vert tatty and were absorbing water. The Taylormades were much bulkier and harder to stow I thought the Silverscreens were better quality.

I bought a set of Silver Screens second hand for my 2015 Ducato. They were from the previous model (X250) but seem to fit ok. In case you were considering used. I paid under half the price for a new set.

It seems that if you have no preference and don't mind buying second hand, why don't you search preloved, gumtree and Ebay see if there's a set of either going for a reasonable price.

Since 2011 (tugger for 20 before that)
I had a silver screen on our 2006 Fiat and it was perfect. However we are not as pleased with the fit on our new 2015 Fiat with the long arm mirrors. In high winds it flaps on the side windows even with the mirrors folded in (as recommended). Where the mirrors touch it has now worn the silver away in 2 small areas on each side.
Hope this helps in your decision making.

If you intend buying a priva see add on then in my experience the Taylor Made is rubbish. The Silver Screen gives very acceptable vision whereas the Taylor Made is like looking through a snowstorm, but at least it is brighter in the van. Having had both next time round it will be back to Silverscreen.

Use mine to keep the van warm in winter. But take front off completely during day.
Can not see the point of privy panel, certainly not needed one in 14 years.

Had a set of Taylor screens for an R-V in `98. Custom built. We had them on almost permanently for over a Year (whilst we did a Self Build). After about 6 Month one side degraded and cracked. I phoned Taylor`s. and he came out 70+ Miles each way. Looked at it, and said he thought it was part of a batch of "inferior" material. Inside 2 weeks I had a New set FOC?.

You see as you find?
