just been to the local garage to check my tyre pressure not a chance of getting near the airline with a motorhome so of to the next garage put my twenty pence in and only managed to check two tyres into the shop for a twenty pence piece stood in the que for 5 mins back to the van finished checking tyres.
after such a palaver putting air in decided to buy my own inflater any recommendations on which one to get with a long lead to reach all wheels.

Go to your local cycle shop and get a track pump, will reach as far as you can walk and will take a tyre from flat quicker than the noisy electric ones, Max pressure about 150psi.

Living the dream.
I use one of these, or a Clarke one would do the same job from Machine Mart.

I bought a nice little pump from Maplins I think it was about £30 and it will pump to pressures above what you'll need

It was a metal one not the ring plastic type they were on offer at the time.

I have a fiat Ducati tag axle and connect to the remote terminals of the vehicle battery under the bonnet. The air hose easily reaches all wheels

When you look inside some of these little 12V compressor you find a tiny motor driving a model aircraft engine or very similar sized compressor, about 2cc or thereabouts, no wonder they take so long to pump up a big tyre.
