A bit windy here in Dublin tonight and for the first time anywhere the Truma gas fire keeps going out and the igniter starts ticking away.
Cowl on the roof ok.

Bit concerned as from Sunday we will be wild camping and it's a bit cold when
Just sat in MH.

I feel sure we have had wind before like and worse than this!

Ours used to go out in the wind on autotrail chieftain. On advice from trauma we put an extension piece on the top of the flue, never blown out again.

What sort of extension was it?
More of a cowl, or height extension

mine used to do that in wind, i made a deflector underneath the van, is the fire mounted on the floor, look underneath the van and used a biscuit tin lid shaped so the wind went around any parts coming through the van floor.

It has the chimney type flue, and another on the outside wall of the MH

Had that with our old Elddis.

Sold it and that cured the problem. :)

Yes same problem with my Auto trail just put the extension piece that comes with it.
It just lifts it about 3 inch higher.

Hi I had an Autotrail Apache with this problem and my dealer couldn't fix it. After a lot of investigation I fitted a Truma extension to the bottom vent and the roof vent. Truma do know it is a problem but need pushing for the part numbers. With the correct parts it is a simple half hour fix

Agree roof flue extension will solve it, tends to happen in high winds if the flue is near a wall used to happen to a neighbors caravan when parked alongside his house.
