Been around!
Came to go out in the Riviera 141 after not using it for two weeks. Started great but no domestic power. Tried the test on the box above the door and nothing. No led life on the box and no domestic. Is the a fuse box on a MH and if so any idea where? Many thanks.

I would connect to the mains and then try 12v system if all ok I would suspect flat battery if your lucky it may recover.

Hi when you say domestic power do you mean 230v from the house?

If so try the RCD test button on the fuse board.
It might just need re setting.

Batteries can die - fast! Especially with the cold snap that Wales has experienced lately. I'll wager that this is the problem, judging by the history. Could be other factors, but try putting it on EHU and see if you have lights, power etc in the habitation area. Maybe the 50 mile run wasn't enough to fully charge the leisure batt' (Assuming that you have a split charging system on your van).

Let us know how you get on.
Good luck
James

Was a newbie, now a Middie.
Went for a walk with the dog whilst away last summer, on on returning to the van, noticed that the hot water warning light wasn't on for washing up, etc, the cooker was off, and so was the radio. Deduced no domestic power almost at once. It was when I saw the kettle not working that it clicked. (y) The wife had gone shopping. :)

Many thanks for the help. Connected to the mains she fired up. Battery has gone. Amazed how fast she had gone. Very happy it was not a circuit.

>12 but <13
My leisure batteries didn't seem to charge or keep a charge when on solar in sun all day in August. Also vehicle battery sluggish after 4 days stationary. MH is 12 plate.
Both leisure and vehicle low in autumn but 2 weeks ago everything dead. Had gained entry by hab door, opened passenger door to remove vehicle battery but has central locking and no key entry on that door. Had to jump from car to post under bonnet to centrally lock as no buttons on doors to push down. Removed leisure batteries also.
Just about to lock up (via hab door) when I heard a clattering, it was the vent in toilet, wind had lifted it to vertical and it jammed fully open. Luckily seat was up so most rain was collected in pan.
Made sure vent was latched down this time and dried floor. (no carpets). Hopefully being mild and VENTED the moisture had dried out since whenever!
I would guess solar panel unable to top up leisure batteries so vehicle battery never got the excess (my other MH vehicle battery was always fully charged in winter) and died in sympathy!

Same week car dead, bump started it, drove 8 miles and wouldn't turn over. Battery had died overnight. So 4 batteries to buy, that's the wife's beer money gone!

Had better weeks.............................

Will be 2 x 100ah Banners for leisure and Varta replacement for cab, that's over £300 for 3.
On the plus side, £12 from the scrap merchants for the dead ones.
