I have to use a lighting board because I am told that there is a problem linking into the Panda's electrics. (It's a 1.3 multi jet)

Does anyone has any knowledge of this please and how it can be overcome?

Thanks

Towing a Panda

1) Car-a-tow
2) Something about pulsing in the electrics so it was not possible to just tap in to the circuit
3)2008 Panda 1.3 Multi Jet Diesel

2) that would be a canbus wiring system it is a complex system and you would best avoid trying to tap into it and use a lighting board

We were just the same with our panda from car a tow, having to use a trailer board. They also said it was risky to tap into the electrics. My parents have inquired about having an a frame fitted to their panda from chris cox. They say its no problem about the wiring so looks as tho they will get away with the trailer board, which is better and also if they pay an extra £50 the bar on the car is detachable, which also sounds better!!

Electrics Fiat Panda.

Hi hawkeye,
A colleague of mine tows a 58 Reg Panda with an A-Frame and doesn't need a separate lighting board!!. ALL the Panda's lights work when/what ever you switch on in the Motor Home, Eg, Indicators, side lights, reversing light, fog light, brake lights etc, he just has to plug a cable into the 12v towing socket by the tow ball. It was all done by Towtal in Stoke on Trent Staffs. If you have A new Fiat X250 based M/H it uses a Canbus wiring system and you have to be very careful what/how you connect into the system or it will send it haywire. It works by sending signals to the various bits of kit and is not hard wired. If you add towbar wiring you have to add a special bit of cubings to ensure it all works. Speak to Old Bill At Towtal.
