Does Spain use the standard continental 2 pins adapters, and which connectors do the campsites use, 2 pins, standard blue or anything else? I got caught out by the ones in Switzerland last year.

I too now carry the std UK 3pin, and the Euro 2 pin type.
Had to borrow a two pin one a few years ago, felt a plonker!

Standard 2 pin adaptors or 16a
What adaptors did you need for Switzerland?
We're going there in June

The campsite we have stayed at in Spain only take the standard continental earthed 2 pin plug. Like most people we have a short lead with the continental plug on one end and the blue socket on the other. Also some campsites in Spain and Portugal used both sizes of screw thread on taps and in France you can find you need a double male hozelock connector to get water

It all depends on their system and when fitted.. Most are years old so you need a blue to 2 pin adaptor lead.
Newer and upgraded sites have the big plug plug.. (must look up what it's called)

If you are in any tourist town in Spain you can buy very cheap adaptors.

It was 2 pin but with an elongated six sided fitting. like <_>, as best I can recall. I didn't fancy the look of the box either. For an ACSI site I was a little surprised at the state of the box. Maybe other sites have the standard ones.
