We are very excited as at last we are off to find some sunshine. Travelled across on the tunnel yesterday afternoon on time and no problems at all - love the speed and simplicity.

A short trundle to Neufchâtel Hardelot (camper stop, no services) we were the only van there! It appears to be a parking only place set amongst very large holiday homes and was a very quiet stop over.

Today we head for Cleres before hopefully meeting Dad to continue our journey south tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting up with some funsters where it's warm and dry occasionally

Well today we did find some sun but in fairness we also had cloud, wind (no that wasn't just Dave), sleet and rain but it was fine more than it wasn't although flipping cold.

We are parked up at Cleres which is a free aire unless you want water or electric which requires a €5 token.

Last night we had an overnight at Marboué, a free stop from campercontact. Straight off the main road, not an awful lot to see (the bar and restaurant were closed) although there was a nice bakers around the corner and it's right next to a riverside park which is good for the dogs.

No food piccies yet as we haven't eaten out yet and although my home cooked tastes okay it's more akin to a Picasso than a recognisable work of art

Found some!

It may not be boiling but we've arrived at Leucate, our last stop in France and it's 15° which is a vast improvement on the driving rain and snow lined roads we drove through today, although not boiling.

A lovely spot but €10.20 a night just to park! Not that we're tight you understand
