yes, spend three months there , winter 2006/7 .. typical long term Spanish site.. popular with Germans , Dutch etc ..
showers and toilets were a little tired, but kept clean... may have been upgraded since our visit

Huge pitches.. double size in winter !

good safe cycling along the shore and prom to Roquetas and Aquadulce

bus stop on the main road for Almeria .. which is well worth a visit

Also consider Camping Garrofa.. which is right on the beach, between Aguadulce and Almeria .. we looked at it but access was too tight for our RV

Roquetas is 50% through a complete remodel. They have a great number of full service pitches, down the bottom they have all new huge pitches that will take a 12 meter RV and make it look small. The main site spine has had new tarmacadam as well as the car park. As Jim says fantastic cycling along the beach path, you can go miles. Easy walk to supermarket. We like it there.

when we were there in 2006 / 07 there was talk of them closing the site and selling the land for housing development.. some of the static caravans had been moved off site and owners had been informed they would soon all have to go..

great to hear that hasn't happened.. we really enjoyed our stay and will go back
