After a night at Andy's wonderfully remote and rustic campsite just out side Messines (where I picked up a superb pile of supplies kindly brought here from Blighty by the Sundowners and Waye Wires) I moved to a favorite spot by the lake at Arade.

All seemed perfect and I was thinking of spending a few (free) days there until, out if the blue, disaster struck.

My internet connection just STOPPED.

OMG!

Maybe just a tempory fault but no - no internet ALL night.

At first light, I had to move off and travel back to Portimao to the NOS shop.

SIM card had broken... a new one was fitted (by the lovely Mariana), and all is well now but...

How I survived the night I will never know...

JJ, here is a tip for you
Get a hard drive and spend a couple of days visiting random pages
Save all pages visited in cache on the external drive
In an emergency plug the drive in and use IT as the internet
OK, not perfect but it minimises withdrawal symptoms and saves going cold turkey

Buy a Kindle!

How yesterday...

I have the Kindle app on my Galaxy Note 4 smartphone. No need for seperate bits of hardware these days.

(Currently reading Pep Guardiola's book on his days at Barcelona FC.)
