We are in Roquetas del Mar at moment very windy. Heading down to Marbella. Does anyone know if the wind is a problem down this coast.

Hi we usually spend mid December to Mid March moving along the Coast from the Algarve to Valencia and we have found that for the last 4 or 5 years we have been troubled by high winds. I suppose that because we "wild camp" its a bonus because we can usually move the van to face into the wind or we have often found a place to shelter at the side of a high building.
Last year we had trouble with the wind all the way along the coast from Almerimar,Roquetas, Almeria, and Cabo de Gata over the space of 10-12 days.
We are leaving for the Tunnel on Monday so it has not put us off coming.

Have heard it said, but no direct evidence. That Benidorm (area) has a "local Micro-climate" Something to do with the proximity to Mountains?. Probably "Travel agent Speak"??.

Some inland parts are up to 2500M above sea level?
