We have toured regions of France and like to use municipal sites .This year it is out intention to cross over into Germany ,the question is do they have municipals and what are they called?Can anyone recomend any near the Black forest region.

yes they have 'municipals' in germany but not on the same scale as france.

but there are many 'stelplatz'...same as the french aire's

Hi Braunston..

Short answer no , but the same points are downloadable from the Bordatlas site ..

The Google map is best used as a route planning tool , once you have done that you can either use Tyre or TT Home which now has Tyre on it to transfer to your GPS unit ..

Google maps are a great way to save your route, sites visited etc etc .. you can even add pictures of your trip, create your own and you can refer back and add to it .. then you can share or keep private ..

Give it a try, it's very user friendly and there are a number of tutorials on Google if you get stuck...
