Hi all,

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this question...

We have a 2 bike carrier mounted to the back of our motorhome and wonder whether there is a possible way to convert it to a 3 bike?

Or are we going to have to buy a completely new carrier?

It's a Fiamma 'Carry Bike'

Thank You:Smile:

According to our Fiamma book most if not all Carry Bike racks can have additional bits added for 1 or 2 more bikes.

Find the exact model number and have a work with a Fiamma agent.

Now, lets see how quick a certain member is to respond.......:ROFLMAO:

I have just converted my Fiamma from 2 to a 3 bike carrier, if you look at yours it probably has the holes already drilled for a third channel, you will find 2 plastic plugs inserted if you have
just pull them out and order a new channel it will come with all the fittings.

Have a look on the Fiamma site for the measurement you will find them the same.

RD
It takes about 5 mins to fit as their is no drilling needed.

and it does say "do not drill the frame" if it has no pre-drilled holes.....cant see why not?

:thumb: Thats me!

Yes providing the carrier has room you can add up to two extra rails and blockers to it,
suggest you phone our Jan and ask her if your rack is suitable, (does depemd on the model)

I'd be a bit worried about the extra weight of an additional bike, Motorhomes are not of the strongest construction, and I would guess it's dependant on how the bike rack was fitted in the first place. I have actually gone the other way, from a three bike carrier to a two, simply removing the third rail solely because we have no need to carry a third bike, I sometimes wonder when I see back boxes on bike racks instead of bikes how much weight they have in them.:restmycase:
