After a six month period my license to drive HGV has finally been granted what are released this is. I had a heart bypass operation April excellent from the medical staff and a good recovery. Applied for my license at the end of June and was finally granted it on 19 December after completing the stress treadmill test at the hospital on 24 November.

Great news. I know it is a long time to wait but you have to give your body time to heal (they usually say 6 months) before you can do the stress test safely.

Great news.. Had my bypass in March..
Not bothering to re-apply for HGV, not used it for years and no plans to start work again.
Goona sit back, chill and enjoy these extra days....

Phoned DVLA this am. to update them.
Can't see an appointment coming now till New Year

Well done, I'm five months in and playing ping pong with letters and forms, no major rush now but it's just pi**ing me off at the time it's taking especially if I had been desperate for the damn thing.

Hi Keep your chin up. I would have carried on but it looked like Feb/March for my decision.still not sure to be granted so called it of. we go away Jan to Spain so could't book anything waiting. Pete
