Noticed cab area especially passenger side was a tad cool in the frosty weather last weekend. Had a quick look underneath and the Gaffer tape I'd sealed off the Fiat vents on passenger side was peeling off. Whipped out both vents, trimmed the thin mouldings off fronts (Stanley Knife) and gave a quick rub with sandpaper. Then marked out and cut a couple of covers (from the base of a black plastic seed tray) and stuck them over the vents with Sikaflex. See photo's, I know you can buy the proper sealed vent covers from Fiat but its a 35 miles hike to my nearest dealer so I did a cheapo mod.

Will refit in morning once Sikaflex has cured properly. For anyone interested in doing something similar vents just pop out as only held by 4 moulded plastic clips.

Rough guide on newer vans 2 vents passenger side only under the so called leg {Rounded bit from cab to hab sides / fuel cap filler) They are mounted at 90 degrees to each other. It cannot be underestimated how blanking these off improves draughts and cab area temperature.

Scroll down to draughty cab in the following lnk.Broken Link Removed

Something I have noticed when valeting both old and newer Sevels is the door aperture rubbers can move forward which will cause drafts. Easy fix to slide them back into position

Maybe everyone has already sussed this but .......................... turn the heater fresh air control to re-circulate when parked. Other wise unheated air passes straight through any open heater vents if the wind is in the right (wrong!) direction.
