Hi Guys
Just finalising our plans to visit Portugal next Spring

Got everything pretty much sorted. Route, stops etc. I've even made a little space in our garage incase anyone needs any FB pies bringing down.

The only issue now is whether to go in March, or to wait until April, in hope of improved weather prospects.

If we can go in March, then we can add an extra trip to our schedule

Thanks in advance

Robert

Well, both March and April are a good time to visit the Algarve. Rest of Portugal can be good as well, but weather is less secure. Most motorhomers that have stayed during the winter will be leaving in March, so April is less crowded. Plus, if nature is your thing, april will overwhelm you with an abundance of flowers and blossoming trees, colorful birds etc. So spoil yourself and come March & April, why choose? Expect sea water temperatures to be freezing, nice to cool your cerveja but not for having a plunge...

This year We took April to get up through Portugal and spain then May in france.turned out to one of the best
Going home trips we have ever had.
There is something magical that happens when you are travelling through a long running spring season.
Hope you get the good weather for your trip.

Thanks for the feedback guys
We've actually decided to split our planned trip to Portugal into two parts, Northern and Sourthern, and go in March AND April, for 3 weeks each trip.

Since 2008 & many years tugging
Just booked our ferry for the 14th Feb (Newhaven-Dieppe), given ourselves a week to get down to the Algarve, it will be our first time in Portugal. We are staying in Cabanas de Tavira for a month meeting up with my mate & his wife, still not sure if we can handle being in one place that long we rarely stay anywhere much more than a few days. Then the plan is to trave back slowly though Spain calling in on people we know that live there, getting home around mid April.
