Campsite / Aire Near Albufeira (1 Viewer)

I need a couple of days stopover near Olhos de Agua ( Albufeira area ) just before Christmas.

Any recommendations ?

There is an aire with all services on the outskirts. I'll look it up in the morning and give you details. Big gypsy market adjacent twice a month and you can walk into town.

There is an aire at falesia, near the the pine cliffs resort, I think its 6.50 euros per night, just outside Olhos de agua

And better facilities than an awful lot of aires, frankly.

Downhill to the town (so you know what that means coming back! LOL) but not only is there the weekly so-called 'gipsy' market next door, on the way down the hill you actually pass the indoor market hall. As shown Lidl is at the bottom of the hill on the corner of the main road - but should you come out the aire and hang a right, carry straight on over 2 islands - you come to another row of shops etc, with a quite decent 'local' supermarket. Sold everything we needed really. Blooming good butchery counter - better than the 'main' supermarkets in the town, to be honest.

That's called Pingo or something like that, shopped in there yesterday. Like you said really good selection and great meat/ fish counters.

Pingo doce (sweat tear) is a Portuguese chain of supermarkets, price level Aldi/Lidl but very good quality, as you have found out. Try the arroz de pato (duck rice) from the fresh food take away counter, it´s delicious.
