Selling Motorhomes (1 Viewer)

As anyone had any good or bad experiences of dealing with website advetisers such as

webuyanymotorcaravan.com,
sellmymotorcaravan.com,
camperbuyer.org?

I am thinking that maybe I will sell my camping car and the prices that have been quoted by the "normal dealers", such as appointed agents, are all very low and disappointing compared to the online "specialists" and was wondering what I have to watch out for dealing with them?

Any assistance greatly appreciated!!

Other than the first two offering a price so low as to be worse than insulting no.
I checked them out and was astonished they ever get anyone to agree to what they offer.. Pretty disgusting in my opinion and rely entirely on people either not knowing what they have or desperation

I have a quote that is nearly 25% higher than that from one of the biggest dealers............which came as a big surprise as certainly with my car, these online buyers were offering half what I could expect!!

As no idea how to value a motor home, any suggestions as to how to find out real value and who I should try to sell it to?

I've never dealt with any of these companies offering a buying service but do remember anything they offer will be subject to an inspection where they will inspect with a microscope and make deductions to offer price accordingly !
Your very unlikely to get original offer as all they will do is knock it out through an auction.

these companies are well known to make offers over the phone but reduce it dramatically when they inspect the vehicle. offers to buy in are generally below trade price anyway. if i were you i would explore other options and if you do need to sell to a dealer shop around. i hear that @Johns_Cross_Motorhomes make fair offers

Try Autotrader Motorhomes, look for similar aged vans as your own and it gives you a good idea.

We're looking for our first motorhome and would definitely buy privately if we were offered something suitable, preferably low profile with a decent payload and a " British style layout", a much better deal for the buyer and seller.
