Hi All,

Assistance required from those in the know.

Our Hobby has a fitment on the N/S. It comprises of a sliding plastic cover (about 4" sq.) which, when slid upwards reveals a water outlet tube, (or is it an inlet?) There is also an electrical switch.
On the inside of the van, the fitment is connected to a water tube. When the switch is operated this causes the pump to operate. It is unknown whether this causes the pump to suck or blow (for reasons given below)

While we were away we found water was lying on the floor outside the fridge. This was traced to the spigot inside the van connecting the above piece of gear to the water tube. The spigot had a small crack in it which, over time was causing a puddle.
I drained off the water in the water heater and sealed the water pipe with a cut down wine cork and a jubilee clip. It ceased then to be a problem.

I have of course to replace the 'Thing' but what is it that I am asking for?
I did think it was an external shower but all the ones I've looked at bear no resemblance. It could be a device for filling the water system from a Aquaroll or similar.

Please point me in the right direction

A pic could help but sounds like an inlet ( maybe Whale Crystal type) with 12v supply for filling as you say from barrel

If you have never used the widget, I would be inclined to leave the pipe sealed and forget about it..

Or....

The broken pipe can be repaired easily enough using a soldering iron and plastic welding it
I must do a video at some point showing how easy it is to do this.. Takes very little time and is quite easy to do :)

Thanks for that Jaws,

Difficult to repair as the piece of broken spigot is lanquishing somewhere in Spain.

I know however, having looked at the Chrystal thingy or the Whale thingy.

I will get out there today and take a photo.

Instead of electric string, if you have a phone take a photo with that then use bluetooth to transfer it to your pc ... and no you don't need a set of false teeth to do it! :D

10/10 for lateral thinking.

0/10 at this end for that ability on my part. Not been on the Bluetooth course yet. (It comes free with a Son in Law at Christmas. He's currently in Borneo!!!)

Thanks anyway. It's not crushingly important in the scheme of things right now.

Hi @emmitdb
I expect you have sorted this by now but just came across this stuff..
Someone actually repaired a broken thermostat housing on a landy with it.. There was even a bit missing and they used some of this to fill the hole and GLUE the housing to the block !!

My guess is it's an external shower point. We have had the same problem. Ours froze in winter and developed a hairline crack and then snapped as I tried to take the flexible pipe off it.
I have disconnected it entirely as it is very vulnerable to freezing when we go away in winter

Hi Again,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this prob. we have.

Finally got an answer from those very nice people at Ambergate Caravans. (They are Hobby specialists)

It's the part marked 5 in the plan.
As Steve at Ambergate said, It looks like it's been drawn by a 5yr old. But it is the part.
What we have is this.
