Currently in Benidorm, but now the Fiesta is finished, we are moving down south on Sunday
Valencia to Cartegena is a huge area, so I would expect there are quite a few Funsters about somewhere

We are parked up at La Manga until the end of March and were in Cartagena today. Have been coming here for 10 years and finally had a look at the Castle.

What's the site there like ?

Some people hate it, some tolerate it and some love it.
The part of the site where we stay which is where the Camping Club rally is is fine, it is a serviced pitch large enough to take our van, awning, trailer and car for £7.35 a night.
You do however need transport to get the best out of the area which I suspect most of the site haters did not have.

We are at Calpe, just down the road to Altea. We have the company of two Funsters or we did until this morning. @bigtree has just set off home and we jumped into his grave while it was still warm - thanks for your pitch Trevor. Eve is here @Eve and here cute little dog. We will be here for another couple of weeks and then may move along the coast as we are struggling to find somewhere to get the kayaks in the water without dragging them through Calpe to get to the water, plus no dogs allowed on the beach.

How far is the beach? Thats all we care about

There is a small beach where the site meets the Mar Menor which is where the wind surfers are. There is also a new Aire at Los Najeros which is apparently very good and is not far from the beach.

we are on the camperstop in los narejos , great little place with a great restaurant and as said a short walk down to the seafront. only problem we have is loads of mosquitos at the moment as soon as the sun goes down.

We pulled into Playa d'Aro this morning. Noticed a uk van next to us. @TrishandTerry .
Only met a couple of english since hitting France.
Nice to chat.
Not catching up with you lot down sarf for a couple of weeks!

You can walk your dog's on the beach or each side of the site along the Mar Menor, you can also leave the site at the entrance and walk through the hills to the spectacular beach at Calblance which is around 2 miles away. Just to be clear the rate of £7.35 was because we stay more than 150 days.

Give it a chance you often have to get to know a place before you settle!
We are coming up that way for a week or two so we may pop in for a few days it would be nice to get to know the locals!!
