We will be taking advantage of this when we travel to Spain on 18th of Dec .We changed the travel date and they only charged us ten pounds when the actual fare had gone up more than our original date. You can also overnight at the terminal before your departure the next day. We have used this before and not as much hassle as Dover.

Changed 2 of our crossings this year, first one nice French girl put us on a more expensive crossing and said "don't worry I won't charge you", 2 time charge was €12.50 (£9). As said much easy than Dover and for us only 20 miles from home.

If you pay in Euro's by c/c then you may save about £25 as you get the bank rate and not the tourist rate as my charge for ferry is £135 as I have a trailer as well but if I pay by c/c in Euro's then it is £110 (€155) at today's rate $1.41 to the pound,, shows you how much they rip you off huh, so you don't need the 60 brigade's discount :)
