Anyone know if the current Exsis i range have remote central locking for the driver and habitation door ( ie operated from the Fiat keyfob)?

Thought it was an option? @lennyhb will know:). If ordering one the dead locks worth having. the white mirrors. 16 inch wheels along with GRP roof all essential I think! what model are you looking at...

I would include the Aguiti seats and comfort pack as well.

edit: OK seems not...options at bottom of this PDF

The van we're getting has the security locks - I assume they are just Yale type addons.
It's going to feel a step back after having the convenience of central locking on our current Vantage panel van conversion:-(

@Judgemental - it's an i578 experience, with the essential 16 inch wheels (alloy) ,GRP roof, but standard black mirrors (though halfords can provide the spraycan to upgrade them to white....)

Not really a hardship as you nearly always only use on door.
Yes I think that is what will happen with us - the passenger's side door will just be left locked and bolted. That is what swayed us in the end. But still a bit of a pain to have to press a remote to switch off alarm, then use two different keys to open the door (we have the security locks), when all we do at the moment is one press on the remote which unlocks and switched off the alarm. Not looking forward to doing it on a wet and windy night after I have had too much to drink

Thanks everyone.

@peterc10 - we reached the same conclusions. Still, a bit of a surprise and hopefully the only one we have on our new van:)

Should really have realised as we met someone who added security locks after being burgled by having the hab door window smashed and the door opened via the internal handle (so obviously no deadlock function).

The deadlocks on mine are not key operated from the inside, just the outside. Mind you mine is a 2015 model and the deadlocks were only £140 each, whereas the ones on the 2016 models are £220. So maybe yours will be different.

We had an Adria coachbuilt, full central locking. Now we have A class Frankia, 2 doors, with no central locking, still think it is silly and thought it would be a pain, but in reality it is fine as we always use the hab door, seems natural now.

@peterc10 Yep, they only had STD locks originally. Not bothered about a key inside but expect using key outside to disable the internal handle (unlike the std lock).
However I suspect the only difference between your locks and mine is £80:)

Hymer still fit the same Abus locks as far as I'm awear.
Only ever use the drivers door when filling up with fuel.

They are just a bolt that slides across only a knob on the inside, look impressive on the outside so worth it as a deterant.

Yes, in reality just a fancy bolt.
Like I said more of a deterant, looks impressive from the outside.
When I get home tomorrow I'll post some photos. Freezing my balls off at the monument, got a couple of days contract work in Sunderland, oh to be back in the warm south.:)

@Jenben Mine hasn't got central locking they change the locks when built I have a Strikeback alarm and I fitted Abus dead locks to habitation and drivers door myself as I was in the security trade before I retired it's easy enough for myself but would advise getting an expert to do it if you are not good at DIY.has got GRP roof covering and a few other bits and pieces.

I bought two Abus double locking dead bolt night cylinder locks for £69 and saved a packet and they lock with a key internally as well so breaking windows won't let them in.

@Judgemental - we promised not to complain when we got such a good rate/ deal but its really hard not to..... We should really have told others needing euros it was bound to go up once we fixed our rate and would be best for them to hold off for at least 24 hrs

Just got a UK price list a bit easier to read than my German one.
Yes you can have Central Locking on a B Class it's on the options list and it includes the garage door, but not on the Exsis.
